National Day of Silence: Hate Has No Place Here

April 10th is the National Day of Silence. It is a student-led day of action that draws attention to the bullying and harassment LGBTQIA+ students face, and the way it pressures people into silence. 

We make Talons, designer nails for men, in a category that has focused on women. And alongside the stories, curiosity and support we encounter daily, we also see the ugly side of the internet across our socials: homophobic slurs, bullying, and people trying to police how someone “should” look.

We stand against it.

Not just a safe space, but a courageous one

Safe doesn’t mean silent. It means protected. Courageous means we don’t look away when someone’s being targeted, so when hate shows up we act.

• We moderate actively. Hate speech, harassment, threats, and explicit slurs get removed.
  

• We block offenders and those that troll.
  

• We don't engage in platform cruelty in the name of clicks.

Talons exists for self-expression and self-care which results in redefining what modern masculinity means.
